Osakis (/oʊˈseɪkɪs/ oh-SAY-kiss) is a city in Douglas and Todd counties in the U.S. state of Minnesota. The population was 1,740 at the 2010 census.[6]
The city took its name from nearby Lake Osakis.[7]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.07 square miles (5.36 km2); 1.95 square miles (5.05 km2) is land and 0.12 square miles (0.31 km2) is water.[1] The ice-out records for Lake Osakis go back to 1870; this is the longest time series of any lake in Minnesota.
