The population was 1,350 at the 2010 census.[6] It was named Detroit and later Third Crossing before adopting its name of Frazee. With Becker County not formally organized until 1871, it was the earliest settlement in the area. The city was officially incorporated on January 6, 1891. It was named after R. L. Frazee, owner of a sawmill.[7] Today it is best known as the home of "Big Tom: the World's Largest Turkey."[8]

    According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.11 square miles (2.87 km2), of which, 1.06 square miles (2.75 km2) is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 km2) is water.[1]

    Frazee is located 46.8 degrees north of the equator and 95.8 degrees west of the prime meridian. Altitude is 1,274 feet (388 m) above sea level.
